Student elections, Passion in Action and LT-Design and AUIC calls

Before the meeting of the Didactic Council (the commission of the Academic Senate that deals with teaching and which meets monthly) the new Coordinator was elected, following the election of the new Principals, by them and by the student representatives in the central bodies.

Prof. Valente, Dean of the AUIC School, was unanimously elected, to whom we wish her a new position. The logic was to give continuity to the table, electing as Coordinator a Dean not at the first mandate.

If you had missed it, the new principals are Prof Antonio Capone and Alberto Taliercio, for schools 3I and ICAT, and Prof. Luisa Collina and Ilaria Valente, respectively in the second term for Design and the third term for the AUIC school.

The meeting opened with a point on the introduction of some novelties planned for June 2018: an institutional address of student representatives and a BeeP channel for each course of study, to which all those enrolled by default are enrolled, managed by the students of the course under the supervision of the Coordinator. This will have the ability to send alerts and use all the functions of the portal.

It is proposed to pre-organize the format, using a prototype forum, to have a default channel usable according to the requests of the students.

The email addresses have been created for student representatives and will be communicated to all representatives.

The upcoming student elections of the University and the National Council of University Students were discussed: Dr. Visconti asked for the number of professors holding institutional positions in the Councils of Study Courses, to derive the number of student representatives to be elected based on the composition of the body (15% of the members).

An update is made on innovative teaching (we talked about it here last time: http://www.svoltastudenti.it/it/budget-triennale-2019-2021-e-diritto-allo-studio-didattica-innovativa-e-passion-in-action-ed-edilizia/): all the courses of study have activated innovative teaching actions.

As for the passion in action courses: it is noted that there is a physiological decline in actual attendance, despite the high number of members. This is also due to the calendar of courses that, in some cases, has not been defined paying attention to the academic calendar. It is therefore agreed to be more careful in the scheduling.

We will also evaluate how to prepare a questionnaire at school level, in order to collect data in a standardized way, perhaps at the same time as obtaining the badge for the activity.

We have reported the presence of courses with compulsory attendance, which actually complicate the departures of international mobility, risking to distance the arrival at graduation. It is considered appropriate to avoid being too rigid, letting the students who have presented this problem leave with innovative teaching courses to avoid postponing the degree.

Finally, the Calls for Admissions to the first level degrees for Design and Urban Planning were presented. As always, there are two windows for the design tests: an early fee (approximately from March to July) and a standard one (towards the end of August September). There will be rankings both for the early quota and for the standard quota, in which the best of the scores obtained will be considered if you have also participated in the early phase.

There are also two windows for the Urban Planning test, with the classic methods of the interview with subsequent ranking.
